Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP)

Stand up paddleboarding – or SUP for short – is a sport that has grown tremendously in popularity in the last few years. It originated in Hawaii in the 1960’s, but was re-introduced to the modern world in the early 2000’s, and was popularized by big wave surfer Laird Hamilton. The real attraction of stand up paddling is that it is easy to learn, and in fact, beginners can usually learn the basics in less than a day. It is also a terrific workout – and is a great way to strengthen your core muscles. St. John has lots of bays and beaches where you can SUP in calm, protected water.

We offer half day, full day and week-long SUP rentals, and included with each rental is a free introductory lesson! Also included with the rentals are soft racks for your car so you can take the boards wherever you wish. See below for our favorite places to paddle board. We can also (for an additional fee) arrange delivery to your rental home or your favorite beach.
